Great Artwork, gameplay could use a little work

I loved the artwork, the premise and the atmosphere of this game. The only thing that really needs work is a few problems in the actual play. sometimes it is hard to tell what is background and what is debris that must be dodged. Also, once you get to some of the later levels, there is simply too much going on. Lastly, it might be nice if you had players complete missions in order, as I didn't find the tutorial level until I had cleared almost a quarter of the game.

Other then that, this is a solid shooter!

Good Game! One question on the history though...

Don't hate me for being nit-picky, I can't help it! In the intro, you say that its 1850, before the advent of the Bakamatsu. The bakamatsu lasted for hundreds of years, falling in 1860 after the arrival of Admiral Perry's ships. You may have meant to say the advent of the Meiji Restoration, but if I'm mistaken, I'm sorry!!

The game itself is amazing, the combat works really well, I just feel some of the levels are really short! The story is really deep too! Keep it up

Like most PETA ads, this insults my intelligence

In all honesty, the game was decent. I encountered no bugs, and it appeared that a significant amount of work went into it.

HOWEVER

The way the turkey making was depicted borders on retardation levels of ignorant stupidity. The turkey has its feet still attached, there are feathers sticking out of it, the stuffing appears to be made from toxic sludge, somehow bones and feathers end up in the gravy and when you crack eggs they gush blood.

...

Has anyone every seen a turkey being prepared?? It is nothing like this. Just because of this flash. I'm gonna eat EXTRA turkey on Thannksgiving. Two helpings please Mamma!

You really need a reverse

Also, once you have a really good powerup, you shouldn't have to worry about accidentally running over a double shot and losing your double side shooter. Also, the shield may be a bit too powerful, as I was able to sit in the center and spin with the double side shot and not have to worry about the asteroids hitting me, because it seemed I was invincible.

Fun and interesting...

But get rid of that GOD DAMN LINK IN THE LOWER RIGHT
Without thta this woulda been a 10/10 and maybe I would have actually finished it

Like your art style

Especially the boss.
It seems like it was somewhat influenced by the madness series, which isn't a bad thing. I like how you mix RPG and platforming, although I hope in the final version the boss has more then one attack.

Either way, you have a solid start to a good game

Hard to get the hang of at first

But after that it was really fun. I really enjoyed the strategy of having to surround enemy systems before attacking. It added more depth then just grouping as many ships together as possible then flinging them at the enemy.

I look forward to the finished game

Some problems, but can be salvaged!

1. As soon as you select the game mode the level begins, giving you no time to react, which leads to problem number 2: When you start your next life there is no opportunity to get in position to catch the ball. If your paddle is on the other side of the screen its impossible to move over in time to catch the ball,
This, coupled with the ball randomly moving towards a different side of the screen every time you start makes for very frustrating gameplay.

But don't despair! The different modes were a new twist to an old game, work on the starting problems and you'll have a solid game!

Sneaking doesnt work

There is no point to hiding because the birds just run away equally fast and you waste a lot of time. The only way to get them is to run straight ahead and kill the ones that aren't facing you

Not an improvement

The whole idea of spending points to try and infect other places doesnt work, as you get points very slowly in this version, also its kind of hard to stop a place like the US from researching the cure when you start in southern Asia... Also, the upgrade system was boring and very harsh. In the previous one, you could become an invisible virus that wasn't lethal at all, spread through out the world and then crank up on the lethality.
This version is just too unforgiving. Not bad though

I write stuff. Browse through my news and forum posts and you'll see. You'll ALL see.
